I thought I’d try a slightly different format for this week’s post and share a few favorites from the week along with a recap of my workouts. Let’s start with the workouts, shall we?
Saturday; Rest day, but I danced a lot at the wedding (my legs were even sore the next day!)
Sunday: 3-mile run
Monday: 3-mile run
Tuesday: Swam 14 laps in the morning + did a 15-minute yoga stretch session in the evening
Wednesday: Rest day
Thursday: HIIT Cardio and Core (JessicaSmithTV)
Friday: I’m heading off to do a strength workout at the gym
And now for a couple favorites:
- Roasted chickpeas: I used this method from The Lean Green Bean and they turned out AMAZING.
I threw them on my salad on Monday, which added a nice crunch and some good flavor (I seasoned with oregano and cumin).
- Random days off: Mike and I took Thursday off to hang out with Vera after her doctor’s appointment and it was so nice. We had no specific plans and wanted it that way. We got some errands/chores done but mostly played with our sweet little girl.
- Positive kids’ TV shows: Vera doesn’t watch much TV but when she does I love Doc McStuffins and Princess Elena. A couple of awesome ladies, haha
